Message for Members

Dear Members,

One of the ways we recognize your achievements is through Project of the Year Award. From the feedback we have received, it is possible that the process for submissions may have been too complicated or convoluted. We therefore would like to simplify the application process and extend the date to August 31, 2008.

So, to all project managers out there, please submit your success story with a simple form (see below). We are looking for projects that are innovative and that have made a broad, positive impact within a healthcare organization. The Project of the Year winner will receive a paid registration fee (winners travel to Denver, CO is not included) to attend PMI Global Congress North America October 2008 in Denver, Colorado. The winner will be recognized during the Healthcare SIG's Member Meeting to be held during PMI Global Congress North America October 2008 in Denver. Current submissions do not need to resubmit.

Meanwhile, we are receiving constructive and valuable feedback through our annual survey. Thank you to all 350 members who responded so far. If you have not yet, be sure to take the survey before
August 15. We will announce the results and raffle winners here in the next issue.

We are still asking for templates so if you have any that you would love to share with other SIG Members we would love to receive them from you.

We are also looking for volunteers for the following positions: Director of Membership and Secretary. If you are passionate about Project Management and Healthcare and would love to devote your time adding to and growing the Healthcare SIG we would love to hear from you! Please submit your résumés to

This webinar demonstrates a Balanced Approach to prioritizing initiatives. Projects affect many aspects of your business; all factors should be considered when taking on a new project. Learn the prioritization secrets of successful companies using a Project Portfolio Management mentality.
